Anime Marathon 2008 (TENTATIVE)

This is a tentative event, because the date its too far to know. I’m gonna make sure that that date is available.

The planned date: August 18, 2008 Monday – 9am-9pm (12 Hours)

Here is what I know so far though…

1) We will be watching in my basement on a 24-inch TV. If anyone can somehow provide a projector, that would be greatly appreciated.

2) It will be potluck/bring your own money for KFC for dinner.

3) You can bring ONLY Anime/Manga stuff that you want to sell. I’m selling some of my junk right now.

4) I will be asking people what they want to watch.

5) PS2 might be unavailable.

6) 10-15 people as usual. No more than 15.

and Lucky 7) I’m gonna plan on moving this at a higher level in the future. Moving on to a banquet hall like the JCCC (Japanese Canadian Cultural Centre), with separate rooms that can fit 80-100 people with only Anime and Gaming (yes, from a person that doesn’t play games that frequently anymore), and probably a small nominoichi (Japanese flea market similar to Anime North). This event will go on for 24-48 hours straight sometime in the summer season with admissions pass and profit will go towards a charity. Yes, I might sound that I’m getting ahead of myself, and might sound that I’m making my own convention, but that’s my plan in the future.

Don’t worry Anime North, and Fan Expo, and the new dotcon, I’m not gonna try and grab your congoers. I’ll make sure that this event is just strictly for that small purpose. I’ll try not this event too big.
