Wow… I haven’t written a lot of what has been happening to me since Anime North 2008.
Well… its been quite a hot late spring season. The temperature reached in to the mid-30s last weekend with the humidex at 40. Note that I’m speaking in celsius and not fahrenheit.
Anyways… Right now I’m working as a graphic artist/printer for a company that services specifically funeral homes in the Greater Toronto Area. The company is located in Etobicoke which is about a 2 hour bus ride from where I live. That could be a pain in the butt, but recently, I’ve had a liking in working there. I also recently received two offerings. One as a part-time graphic/print/package designer located at Warden and 14th Avenue. The other one is a full-time summer graphic/web designer at Victoria Park and Steeles. I’ve definitely scrapped the Warden and 14th because the TTC and YRT is not very frequent there, even in the middle of the rush. The other one is TTC accessible and is about 10-15 minutes away from the closest bus stop. I actually have an interview tomorrow at 9am there. I’m actually hoping for a bad turnout because as I said earlier, I’d actually prefer to work near the airport because I get to travel around the GTA and actually learn more about increasing my dexterity and concentration on my work. I’ve got the graphic and photoshop/printing skills, but I need to focus more on what I’m doing even though I’m really tired in the middle of the 40 degree weather.
Also recently, I’ve received my first paycheck in probably almost 6 months. I’m happy about that. Right now, I’m planning to obtain my G1 Licence (finally) and get driving as soon as possible.
Anyways… back to the topic of this post…
Don’t you just hate it when you see things that you want to have and its so close, yet so far away because you don’t have the cash to actually pay for it.
