Here’s a short summary from AnimeNewsNetwork.com

Rin Asōgi may look like an ordinary office lady on the outside but she is actually a private investigator taking on any jobs, from finding a stray cat to infiltrating a high-security corporate lab. What’s more, she appears literally indestructible, supernaturally healing any injuries and mutilations. Together with her partner Mimi, Rin delves into the darkest secrets of the society but the ones she hides herself are by far more sinister…

This series has definitely have me going on to watch the final episode of this OVA series! I just recently completed watching episode 5 prior to writing this part 2 review and OMG!!! I just cannot wait another month for the next episode. As most of Mnemosyne watchers out there, this series air in Japan twice a month on AT-X to commemorate the channel’s 10th Anniversary on air.

Anyways, before I start going on writing about this Anime, please be advised that I may be writing with spoilers in this review. Thanks! :D

Okay, first off… episode 5 is almost a tear jerker. A lot of things happened since I wrote my first review of this series two months ago for episode 3. Maeno Kouki died by trying to rescue Rin Asougi as an “angel” by “eating” a Time Spore from his friend in the past, from the lunatic (I guess I could say…) bitch Sayara who was in a mission to take the world for herself. That sentence is so run-on but anyways, I said “was,” about Sayara because her Time Spore was taken by Eipos at the end of episode 3 which equals to -I applaud for- annihilation.

Episode 4, we get to see Maeno Kouki’s son named Teruki. He’s a teenager and got into an adventure with Rin and Mimi about the 1.0 and 2.0 digital world, virtual reality crap, as they tried to figure out the mysteries behind the idol Ruon Kamiyama. We also get to see Mimi becoming more lesbian episode after episode. So for those yuri fans out there, this show is for you! (^_^b) At the end of this episode, Rin got obliterated in the jet engine of the plane she, Teruki and Ruon during the fight on the plane.

We then go to episode 5 where we haven’t seen Rin, or at least the real Rin, until almost well after halfway of the show. The first time we get to see Rin was at the party of some corporation where she works. Apparently, her name at the time is Saito Tamaki. She actually lost all of her memories of the past after getting “killed” by the jet engine and took decades for her body to regenerate. Teruki is now a president of some corporation, which Mimi went to being a Buddhist nun in Kyoto. A lot of things happened at that episode with more yuri, and more action and Rin presumably being killed eternally because Eipos, the hermaphrodite, actually took out Rin’s Time Spore. I was actually about to cry when I saw that happened… The heroine of the show getting killed in action. What’s worse is seeing a hermaphrodite doing the stroking with Mimi. I was like OMG when I saw Eipos doing it with Mimi. If you don’t know what a hermaphrodite is, look it up on google or wikipedia or something… >_>

Anyways, so far, this show is getting in to me. Its like Kanon when Mai saw Sayuri getting injured in the school’s washroom. Or when Sekai kills Makoto and Kotonoha pwns Sekai. Rating this show 9.5/10 right now. Currently recommended for R rating due to excessive violence, sexual acts, nudity, and intense thinking after knowing what mnemosyne really is and what immortality is. Not recommended for kiddies. ^_^
